TM5 – What’s the scoop?

Thermomix TM5From Leah Steinberg, Thermomix Consultant.

Last week, in the suburbs of sunny Queensland, we were all buzzing with the news about the new TM5

What, prey tell, is the TM5 you ask?

Social media is a-twitter with it all and it’s created a stir, alright. The TM5 is the latest generation from Thermomix. An amazing kitchen machine that is famous for ‘revolutionising the way you cook’.

Leah_SteinbergWhere to start with explaining its phenomenal features…

First of all, it’s got guided cooking – one step at a time through your recipe. It’s phenomenal – you simply insert your recipe chip to access over 200 digital recipes, featuring step-by-step instructions. Given that all I have time for cheese on toast, it’s fantastic to whip up something more healthy like a beetroot salad or a sweet potato soup. This function is extremely convenient for the time-poor (me!), or those that love to travel with their Thermomix (me again!).

Next up – there’s a selection of automatic recipes, actually stored on the Thermomix. They are one-step recipes where the Thermomix controls all settings and uses its built-in sensors to work out the state of the food and react to suit. The entire cooking process is completed for you at the touch of a button – now that’s easy peasy. Bring on more yoghurt, rice and custard, I say! More recipes to be added soon.

Of course you can still use your Thermomix cookbooks, recipes from the Recipe Community or convert your own faves to create culinary masterpieces. Use the manual functions for this and you’ll feel right at home, spinning that dial.

I think there are loads of benefits of owning and using a Thermomix. For starters, you can get your kids to cook for you. Bonus! It’s safe and easy with step-by-step instructions – what could possibly go wrong? You can also save money – I’m going to make all my friends jam, almond biscuits, caramelized onions and dukkah for Christmas presents this year – sorry about the spoiler peeps! But I can do it all from scratch and that’s amazeballs…sorry again!

If you’d like to take a further look at the TM5, feel free to give me a buzz – I’d be more than pleased to show you how it can change your life and at least, make it yummy!
